All the measuring and cleaning are done, assembling starts at the end of this week. I am also waiting on my Circle D converter. I decided with the cam I'm putting in, and the known 6L80 torque converter failures, figured I better upgrade that now. In the mean time, I've updated Blackbear about the converter since replacing it wasn't part of my original plan, so that update should come in the next few weeks. I'm so anxious it's all coming together, I miss my hoe!
What stall are you going with?

It looks like I'll be installing the engine with the stock torque converter, because the circle d converter won't ship till mid February, and I want my hoe back. I figure I can get the new engine properly broke in, get some data logs, and see what bumps I may need to smooth out before the converter arrives. I may be installing the engine this weekend or next.

I hit a snag.... The new pushrods are too short. Honestly I was sort of expecting this because at the beginning of this build, I hadn't planned on replacing the engine and heads, only the cam. Now that it's all new, the rods I have are short. Shouldn't take too long to get replacements though. Maybe I'll get lucky and the torque converter will arrive sooner and I can assemble it all together.
