I have not. We have a call scheduled for tomorrow and I am going to request a vinview screenshot. Honestly, right now it is out of the dealers hands, and all they will be able to do is escalate to the gm regional rep- which I will recommend.

Last Tuesday I sent an email to the executive resolution team, in the email I provided my cell and got a call back today along with an email. It was all pretty generic, but I was not able to take the call as I was in a meeting at the time. Rep left his name, number and extension. I called back and left a voicemail, so no real talks yet there either. This is an excruciating process.

Wish I had more, but maybe tomorrow will give me some answers. Thought I was going to dodge this bullet since my invoice had a shipping date and estimated delivery date on it.
Going to send you a PM if you don't mind.

So my salesman keeps giving us the run around. I called him Friday and asked what was the story on this week. He tells he is able to get into this program that he is not suppose to be able to. He says that they are letting 50 Vehicles get picked up by dealerships per day and what he is going to fill out the form for us and another customer and it takes 1 business day to get a pick up day and time. Well it’s been a 2 days and haven’t heard a work. Imagine that. So frustrated!!

I'm assuming this only applies if your local and your vehicle is available to ship (4000)?

Dealerships are telling us our trucks are at 4300, but internally they are at 3800 (and we have also learned that the event codes don't necessarily go in order).

I'm sorry, but it's hard to remember who is in the same boat with me: do you have your invoice/window sticker and does your dealership/GM Chat say you're 4300 but the GM Insider "insider" told you it says 3800?

No invoice, window sticker, or GMC.com listing. Dealer says 4300, no ETA, no VINVIEW. Linton23 said 3800 no delay no ETA. Delivered to Midlothian 4/13.

This is my first time posting, but I have been following this discussion since I am in the same boat. I cant get anywhere with my salesman. @kate_t you seem to be good at what you are doing and trying to help everyone! Thank you for that! I have no clue what I am looking at when I enter my vin, so if you would look at mine that would be awesome! Thank you! VIN: 1GKS2BKD6NR273899

Yours went to Midlothian just after mine (a week later). You can see this info by going to http://k0jdd.netlogger.org/VehicleStatus.php

Also, you don’t appear to have a window sticker like several of us:

Thank you to @kate_t for posting the links. The dealer has not bee helpful at all. Almost seems like they are clueless.

So far, I've been able to discover that my Event code is 3800 from GM Insider Linton, my Denali is sitting in Mid and arrived there on April 5th. I just tried the window sticker lookup but it did not return any results.

I just realized that there seems to be 2 different GMC chats or something has changed with regards to them giving out event codes. I usually use the chat on the computer on the GMC website and they will give me the event code even though I have caught the code seeming to “jump” around a touch. Tonight I used my phone and used a chat that works like a text message. Tonight my status changed to the dreaded IN TRANSIT! I can only assume that means my unit got built today or Monday since I checked Friday. Here’s the interesting part. The lady absolutely would not tell me my event code under any circumstances. She said she was not allowed to. She said the dealership would have the VIN and the event code. It just seemed strange and I don’t know what circumstance brought about the change.

Depends what chat rep you get and what production rep they get a hold of. Some give out codes, some give excuses, and some just refuse, and some have no clue.

Once it's built they defer to the dealership...don't really agree with it but that seems to be the process...somewhat helpful up until that point and then, no more once it's built. I had a little luck calling Chevrolet's general contact number. If you try that, be prepared to wait a while on the phone because when they do actually pick up, the person you're talking to won't have the info in front of them...they literally call someone to get the info...so be as specific as possible when asking your question because you only get one shot per phone call. Twice I had another question when they came back with an update, and the last time the lady actually said..."that's a good question - but you'll have to call back...try tomorrow"

good luck

I think we are probably all “in the same boat” even if we are getting different information.

I received the following answer to my April 29th e-mail this morning: “Thank you for taking the time to discuss your vehicle concerns with us at the General Motors Executive. Currently, your vehicle is on a Quality Hold and will have to be inspected and approved before it can be scheduled to be shipped to the next location.GM is aware of the delays in shipping and is working with Logistics, our plants, and Carriers to get the approved vehicle shipped as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, At this time, this is the best information we can provided you with.”

This is consistent with what my dealer has been telling me since May 4th: 4B00 - ORDER BAYED; VEHICLE IS WAITING ON TRANSPORTATION OR PULLED FOR QUALITY CONTROL. However, considering my truck was built March 23rd and shipped to 2 waiting lots since, without stopping at any location where quality control is known to be happening, I just think its awaiting parts – same as everyone else here.

3800, 4B00, 4D00, 4300 – all could be technically true for a truck parked somewhere awaiting parts. Unless JC says its on the plant to rail shuttle or I get a 4800 code, it seems its all the same…could just be different operators favouring different codes.

Reading even more similar threads on other boards from the last time this happened, I am, sadly, more and more convinced the order our units arrived at the lot will have little impact on the order they will leave it.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the factory is running, and some (most?) units are going directly from assembly to the rail head… If that’s the case, should we expect that finishing our trucks will become a secondary task they will do sometime this summer while they retool for the 2023’s? I hope not, but it sounds plausible…

Does anyone know how to look up when a vehicle was built? I was surprised to see a Yukon XL Denali pop up as in-transit on my dealers website this morning (they'd only had 2 SLTs for the last 2 weeks listed as in-transit).

JC tracking doesn't really indicate when it was built, but I think it may have been late Feb / early March. Trying to figure out if I can get a sense of the lead time from build to when these are now getting shipped.

The AsN date is March 14. Not sure if that helps? Maybe that was the date it was cleared for delivery after it was built? So maybe the TPW was early March 7 or so? Since most of our AsN's are ~1 week after our TPW.

I'm not entirely sure; I tried to ask the GM Chat when my car went to status 3800 VEHICLE PRODUCED, VIN IS AVAILABLE and they told me it was 04/13 BUT the ASN Date on JC says 04/11 so I'm not really sure.

I don't think that info is available to lay-people, but you might be able to ask Linton if he can see the dates on the codes.

I spoke with my dealership's Sales Manager and he suggested I reach out to GM Executive Customer Service because they have not been able to get any solid answers as to why my vehicle has been sitting in Midlothian TX for 4 weeks. Frustrating as that may be, I don't mind taking control of the conversation to have this escalated. So, I did reach out, and I spoke to someone who is going to escalate my case, and try to get my vehicle to me ASAP. She said she doesn't believe it's a chip hold or anything like that as the vehicle shows it is built. She said her plan is not to figure out why it's there, why it sat for so long, etc. etc., her goal is to get the vehicle to me. We'll see...
