Hey guys,

I just picked up a 07 Yukon with the Bose & stock navigaton system. I installed an Amp and Sub for now but I feel the overall sound quality is average. My old GMC had an aftermarket head unit with more extensive EQ controls, upgraded Infinity speakers (removed the Bose) and the same Amp/Sub and it sounded a lot better. Is the source of the mediocre sound the lack of detailed head unit audio equalizing? or the fact that the Bose speakers are meh? I'm not really interested in swapping out the OEM navigation. For people that just swapped the 4 door speakers did you notice a big difference?

thanks!

Changing the deck will definitely get you better sound. You need the integration harness to keep the Bose amp functional. The stock radio was the first thing to go when I got mine and it was way better with my JVC.

When I swapped out the head unit from my old GMC it did improve the sound a lot. In this new Yukon however that's a cost and inconvenience that I would prefer not to get into right now. For the guys that kept the factory NAV the same and just upgraded their 4 door speakers to premium 6.5" speakers did you notice a difference?
