Well I dont have an OEM to compare to. Vegasf6 stated that they were pretty similar tho. Lets just say from looking at it, I can't see why anyone would pay for an OEM esky light. The fit and finish looks great IMO and I consider myself pretty picky.

Yeah they are! Plus I purchased it and shipped it directly to Vegasf6 so I saved the ride there for the mod. Wonder if Eagle Eyes will start manufacturing them in other paint colors?

Oh btw, I returned the 1st one and have my 2nd Street Scenes Hitch Cover. It still doesn't fit very well even with it Pinned in.....which leads me to believe my bumper is a little off. Going to see if it can be sanded down on the right side side where it is catching on the bumper and causing it to be ****-eyed. It really isn't a good fit but I can't bring myself to put on the ugly GM one. *Sigh*.

Modded, I think you misinterpreted? I am in agreement with you on that. :thumbup:

Here is pic I took of the first one, but the second one is the same fit.

If I push left side in so it's flush,the right side pops out like this:

I have a vid (of course ) which shows it better. I'll try to upload it. Bottom line tho--It takes a lot of force to get it in bc the bumper is essentially 1/4" to far to the right. This causes it to shift and sit ****-eyed in the opening.

Mine fit great from the get go. After paint it fit even better.

Yeah thanks bro, it's all good. I wanted to order another one to make sure the hitch cover was manufactured consistent. Unless I ordered the only 2 on the planet that are "off", then it has to be that my bumper clearances are different than most gM bumpers.

Good in black, hi.
I would say the quality of on the exterior of the replica is quite good. The paint is just ~meh, I have seen better. It could do with some wet sanding. But who really looks THAT close at it. The materials are very good, the ABS and PMMA plastics used appear as good as OEM and they include the rubber weather guard where it "mushes" up against your truck
As to the interior, again I would say very decent. The actual circuitry and leds used appear to be similar to the oem osram, difficult to tell frankly but they are the same PLCC 2 package and some attempt is made at regulation. Dare I say the circuitry design may be better than OEM in some ways. I have no way to tell if the actual components used, the resistors and caps etc are rated for automotive use or if they are of Japanese origin. Doubtful.
The quality of the vapor deposited chrome on plastic appears to be a bit cheaply done. I am slightly concerned that it may fade quicker than OEM in the sun. But I would expect this will take several years if at all.
The red lens is sealed well, it uses some gluey goop and an oring vs the OEM being entirely heat sealed. For the consumer, this is a wash. From my end its rather POOPY, but so be it.

Or, if you just wanted the short version, I see NO REASON NOT TO BUY IT. (and of course send it to me so it doesn't appear "broken" anymore )
