you can buy a new shock on amazon which is ac delco factory pretty cheap and pay someone local to change it out for you. Its a pretty easy job to remove the whole strut assembly. A local guy did both my fronts for $40.

I don't want to have to modify the wiring harness at all. I need the autoride shock. I already made the mistake of ordering aftermarket shocks

You'd be better off buying a new OEM from Amazon. I just replaced the ones on my Escalade I believe they were under $200 each with free shipping. I don't think you're going to find a used one much cheaper than that shipped to you.

If the Denali is like the Escalade as mentioned above you have to get the right part number. The Escalade has two part numbers, one for the 22" wheels, and a separate one for 18" base wheels.

right. the ac delco auto ride shocks on amazon are the same as factory. But you do have to figure out part numbers so get the correct one. these are the ones I purchased for my 2009 denali. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EDQ2EM4?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s02

Did your 09 Denali have the 20" stocks and dos the shock come in and have the input on the side and the electrical connector on the top?

I just don't want to order the wrong parts again... Are me up on shipping to have to send the pair back I thought would work.

yes my denali had the 20" stock wheels with the connector on top of the shock. I did some research but couldnt not find a part # for the 22" wheels option.

Would you think it would be the same? Or should u be looking for an escalade replacement with the 22" wheel option?

I honestly have no idea. But I have noticed when looking through the options that the 22" wheel option is only listed on the rear shocks, not on the fronts. Not sure why but thats what I noticed. If you go to rockauto.com and look up your vehicle. It will list the front and rear shock absorbers with a suspension code listed next to the different parts. I would suggest you look and see if any of those codes are listed on your sticker in your glove box. That sticker tells you which suspension system you have. Mine was Z55. This explains it better. http://www.shockwarehouse.com/news/gm-suv-suspension-decoder.cfm. So if your sticker says Z55 then I would think it would be the same regardless of wheel size in the front, it might be only the rear shocks that are differnt. But again, I'm no expert. this is just what I have found out.

Ok ordered it should be here by the 9th... My guy is charging me 100 because he has to remove the hybrid unit under the hood to get to the bolts and connector... Sucks! Then I need an alignment on top of that so that'll be a 200 bill
