Hey
Have found a 98 GMC grill on a local trade site. Looks like it will fit. Hopefully the guy is keen to ship from the north island down to me. After looking at the grill on that 97 Yukon GT yesterday I think it would do mine justice to make the change from the bow toe chrome grill it came with.(is starting to break up). Parts a few here better to grab em when you can.20210214_120112.jpg20210214_121026.jpg

Am currently taking the rear sway bar out to update the bushes as they are perishing due to age. While lying under the truck I was looking at the body mounts. Does anyone know if these look like its had a lift or what the factory height is on this 97 yukon?

Hey!
This is the so-called body lift.
The body is lifted above the frame using cylindrical spacers that are inserted between the frame and the body.
In your case, judging by the photo, their height is about 2 inches.
Easy to install and just as easy to dismantle

Thanks Koser [emoji106]

Had worked that out when I remembered the last owner had chopped part of the bumper and rego plate out to gain access to the spare wheel lifter.

Am thinking about removing them. Will drop the height by 2 inches and lesson the amount I will have to lower it

After reading @Tonyrodz build thread I may leave the factory keys in and do 4x4 drop spindles in the front and maybe lower leaves, say 2" in the rear.

Might hit Y.T a watch someone taking them out.
