I hit a possum a while back. Saw it flopping around like a fish in the rear view so I had to put it in reverse and finish him off.

here in Iowa hitting deer is like a okay you have no experienced life thing. first incident a um "friend" and I were "cruising" in my 95 zr2, biggest 12 point buck I have ever seen ran out of the ditch and smashed into the side of the extended cab and front for the box like 4200 worth of damage. another time while out cutting wood with my dad a tree fell on the cab, while I was in trying to pull said tree out of the trees it fell into. another time on my sportster after hanging out with another "friend" I was hauling ass home as it was lightning and thundering and I couldn't let the bike sit outside! I had doe run in front of me her back hoof kicked the cap off the front turn signal and tear my pants scariest experience I have had to date. lastly I was driving a semi for Bunn out of Creston and it was thru deer infested highway 34 in Iowa. I hit 4 deer in the semi, splattering 2 all over the highway, one tried to jump in between the truck and trailer destroying my air and electric lines and the 4th on rolled got up and ran away.

Damn deer cause a lot of damage! Glad you didn't get hurt. Love the ZR2. Kind of looked like my S10, 95 also.

I hit a bat one night. He hit my windshield and got stuck under the wiper. Happy ending tho. Once I freed the little guy he looked at me then flew off.

I had a 92' Sierra 1500 extra cab 2x4 with a standard throttle body injection. 4.3 V6 and I put almost 300k miles on it before it started ticking. If you know what that is then you know it's time was finally comming to an end. That motor is bullet proof. Even towed my 21 foot Malibu Wakesetter with no issues. When the 4.3 started to go I built a 5.7 and did the swap.

I've only hit a couple small things. Mostly squirrels. Almost hit a couple coyotes but they got out of the way. The other night coming home from where I teach country line dancing I was riding home in a close friends F150, cuz my rig is still out of commission. We went around a bend in the road a little jack rabbit ran out in front of her. She hit the brakes and cleared the front tires but hit it with the back tire. It was so sad. Fortunately there wasn't anyone else on the road for the sake of hitting someone else. We it's we're just like awww man....

That really sux when that happens. I always feel terrible. As long as you tried to avoid it, nothing else you can do.

Honda was still newish, i thought i saw something fly across road as soon as i left my house but it was still kinda dark, 1 hr and 70 miles later when i got to work there it was.... I didn't think birds flew in the dark....hit a bat with my '79 monte when i was a kid, if u know those cars head light was huge and bumper was like a shelf, it hit headlite and layed down on the bumper. Living in upstate NY ive had close calls with many a deer, i remem once i got off highway ramp around a turn and he was haulin ass across ramp but i clipped his ass and when i looked at corner of fender and blinker i swear there was a shit stain across blinker and hair stuck in the gap.....

Poor little guy. When I was in high school, in auto shop, a teacher brought in a car to get some work done, there was a half skeletized bird carcass stuck behind the grill, laying next to the radiator. How could you not notice something like that? Lol
