Just got my Spyder's, The resistors are built to the back of the tail light housing like everyone mentioned, and apparently are doing their job, no hyperflash, no cruise control issue, no ABS/ or any other dash light popping up...
Ironically, I got a Shit mold job from the "Sonar" Thai factory these are made in. Both sides have a groove cut, almost looks like a Dremel was used to correct a bad mold job, on both lights, in the exact same spot., where a groove was ground down, and is flaking a little...
Anyways, Amazon is awesome as usual and a replacement has already been sent out.
Seem pretty vibrant compared to factory lights, The OEM fit is off, they have a decent amount of play, there is a gap whether on top or bottom of the light, I can push them all the way up, or down before securing screws, but there is definitely play and unsecure fit compared to factory Tails. I had to stand back a few times and look at the symmetry and re-adjust until satisfied, and they are still not going to be perfect. On a side note, to future buyers of Spyders, once you connect all the wire harness's they do not spin and "snap" into place on the housing, the actually will keep spinning if you are expecting it to "stop" like a factory tail light. My advice, turn it about the same distance as where you would normally feel the harness snap-secure on a factory light and leave it alone, otherwise it WILL keep on spinning and not catch on anything, I learned that quickly on the first plug...
