In case anyone is looking at doing a dual battery setup with Kentiks, here is what i did.
- HC2400 in the driver-side battery tray (this is too big by the way).
- HC2000 in the stock passenger-side battery tray.
- Stinger 200 amp isolator relay
- Kicker Hyperflex 0-gauge throughout
- Stinger 200 amp circuit breakers
- 250 ** alternator w/ overdrive pulley

Works great, no lights dimming no matter how much i pound the hell out of the system. I also love the fact that I can park, listen to the system while the wife shops and not have to call AAA for a jump start anymore.

I had a hell of a time finding the RAP (Retained accessory Power) connection in order to make things work. Basically the audio system (iPad in the dash, no radio btw) works like stock now with key in the accessory position. This is all working off of the HC2400, with the relay isolating the HC2000. Once I put the key in Ignition mode, that closes the circuit and allows the alternator to charge the HC2400 and the HC200 at the same time.

Let me know if anyone has questions, i wish there was a post around showing me all of this information when i first started. I know that I still need to find a way to protect the exposed positive posts and terminals, so suggestions are welcomed.

Couple things...

1. How do yo get to your fuse box without pulling out a screwdriver and removing the fuse and circuit disconnect?

2. I would get a little more wire and try to clean the 0 gauge wiring up a little. Looks like it's going all over the place. Plus more wire loom.

Overall, nice setup. I'd just go over the little details now. And clean that engine bay! :D

Looks good... Just dress it up a little better... As for the circuit breaker, I would ditch it and use regular fuse instead. I have used circuit breaker before and I would have problems with it. If it was to trip, it would be less reliable IMO... You may also want to look into doing the big 3 to help a bit with your sound system

Is 0gauge overkill? Can you provide more detail about the RAP (Retained accessory Power) and maybe some photos? Thanks!

Question...how did you secure them? you stated the 3400 is too big...will the 2000 sit flat in the trays?

I am about to buy batteries for mine.

Some shrink tuning around the connectors will cover and color code well. I agree on the circuit breakers with Nathan, I have had them go bad on me before. Sweet job. Definitely a investment worth it.
