So I finally finished my roof rack project, here's the progress pics. :)

What it started as...

Three-dimensional finally...

A few pictures of the last leg of the build.

Found this technique just in time for the last piece.

How it fits around the lights.

Finished and primed.

A few little additions... the little hook is for attaching a tarp to the side of the truck like an awning.

Finished and actually painted...

And on the truck ! :D (notice the threaded rod for the spare tire)

I'm so relieved that it's completed, now I can move on to other things.

Thanks for watching.

Haha ! Well, I wanna enjoy it for a while first. ;)

But I think it cost me around 160-180$ for materials. I started in February though and finished two days ago. Very time consuming, just to make sure it's square and flat.

Thanks !

Here it is, I simply made some "feet" that are bolted thru the bars. It's not exactly the way I wanted to do it at first, but it should be ok for now.

So there's two bolts on each corner plus one bolt in the center of each bar. (10 bolts altogether) Hope this helps !

sorry that's the best pic I have...
