In this case, there are way too many tools that I have that will never be used again. Why not let a youngster get their start in the business and keep them off the tool trucks, at least for a little while. I get some money and will still get a small roll around cart with some basic tools, like ICON, and be able to do easy on the body things for my own trucks and others.Yeah, it does suck to get old. And, it really sucks when you get too old to do things that you love to do. But, that's life.
I got too old to do deep decompression wreck diving decades ago, but I still have all of my dive equipment. It's still too hard to let go of it, even though I know that I'll never use them again. @OR VietVet , good for you to face this evolution. It may give me the incentive to do what I need to do.
LOL, did you give him HF's address?Another call tonight and was a dad and said his son was starting to work at the wind farms near the Dalles, by the Columbia River. He offered $1800 for the whole thing and I told him he was $28,200 short. They are coming out of the woodwork up here. Sheesh!!!!!!!
Then he told me he could buy a lot of tools at HF for $1800. I agreed and said goodbye.
He acted like he already knew. I almost told him that if he went to HF, make sure to be ready to buy the tools a second and third time. Although, I have to give props to the ICON tools.LOL, did you give him HF's address?
