If you have hours and skills at your expense, you could shave the stock manifold. Maybe even pick up spare from the salvage yard or someone parting out a blown motor and work it over in your spare time then swap it on.

I can’t say that looks any better.

I'm kinda back-and-forth about it. If I didn't have the cover and just wanted to have something less common, I'd probably do it. I'd paint it a black that resembled the stock black plastic color so it blended in and looked original. It's not one of those things you want to draw attention to.

Sooooooo how many people have commented on how your intake manifold looks? and if it were "brilliant triple plated show chrome plastic" who would see it? You youngsters show me how old im getting with your priorities! It does make me wonder though, without the cover, would the fuel rail/coil temps be reduced?

The vehicle came with it, it looks incomplete without it. Simple as that for me.

How many times are you taking the cover off and putting it back on? Is it so hard to pull the grommets off the studs and put them back on the cover? It looks like crap without the cover, unless you replace it with something better looking like I did.IMG_6631.JPG
