Looks like the issue is fixed! The culprit is a screen that sits between the oil sensor and the oil flow. It gets gunked up over time which in turn leads to false readings.

Here's a pic of the screen that was removed

I will update the initial post with this info in case someone searches for it

No, top of the block at the back near the fire wall where the pressure sensor is at. You take the pressure sensor out then that pulls out. Another reason why it's EXTREMELY important to do regular oil changes. Not 100% about how often the previous owner changed the oil prior to us owning it.

My 6.0 has run flawless for the 8 years I have owned. I wonder if its a 6.2 issue. Most Ls based engines are bullet proof unless you own one of them alum block engines.
