you need to get the oem hose's and "T"'s, those aftermarket things never last
How did the comparison go?Been there, done that, but I was not in my garage at the time. In my case, the heating hose literally tore itself apart right at the Tee. Kind of my fault, as I was 'comparing accelerating rates' with another vehicle at a light that just turned green.
Replace both Tees with OEM Tees while you are at it, and if your heating hoses have not yet been replaced, replace ALL of them.
Those are brand new connectors. I’m just gonna hose clamp the hoses to the heater coreyou need to get the oem hose's and "T"'s, those aftermarket things never last
or if those were oem then time was up, they can last up to 10 years but I replace them at 5

the "t" is oem or aftermarket?, I'm going to guess aftermarket because one should be white and one should be black, as they have a different angleThose are brand new connectors. I’m just gonna hose clamp the hoses to the heater core
One is white one is black the parts except the hoses and metal part close to the thermostat is OEM replacements that’s why I’m so salty anyway here’s the get to and from work for a week setupthe "t" is oem or aftermarket?, I'm going to guess aftermarket because one should be white and one should be black, as they have a different angle
I have seen the oem hose come in both ways 1. with a quick-connect and 1. with a spring clamp
looks like blew out to due to age, over time the plastic gets soft and brittle from all the hot/cold and then this happens, luckily you weren't 50 miles from home or some place where you would have had to walk out.One is white one is black the parts except the hoses and metal part close to the thermostat is OEM replacements that’s why I’m so salty anyway here’s the get to and from work for a week setupView attachment 392111
that looks scary, you might put that on and never get it offHas anyone tried these?View attachment 392112
I mean it’s metal it’ll probably outlive the plastic t that needs replacing I’m hoping to find a metal Tthat looks scary, you might put that on and never get it off
Age would be rediculous considering it’s a new part I have a grave feeling the mechanic stress cracked it when messing with my radiator and coolant flushlooks like blew out to due to age, over time the plastic gets soft and brittle from all the hot/cold and then this happens, luckily you weren't 50 miles from home or some place where you would have had to walk out.
if you decide to fix it right these are the oem parts needed

from the photo to me it looks like the plastic got brittle and broke right where they always break (the weak spot), it looks brownish and discolored like a old one would. if that was a new one that sucksAge would be rediculous considering it’s a new part I have a grave feeling the mechanic stress cracked it when messing with my radiator and coolant flush
maybe, but when those things go on even the plastic ones they do not like to come off in one piece anyway.I mean it’s metal it’ll probably outlive the plastic t that needs replacing I’m hoping to find a metal T
The comparison was very good for me.How did the comparison go?![]()
