Sucks drilling holes in a perfectly good panel but I need to get more air passing thru the engine compartment to keep temps down.

Now I need to figure out which ones I wanna add to the side panels. Not doing all of these.

Track clips showed up today. Had to buy 5 packs of 10.

Then had to buy a new installation tool that would clear the 1.75” lugs.

My son and I are gonna do the CV shaft on the Esky 2mrw. He’s been asking me to let him get more involved so he can learn. He’s gonna learn 2mrw!!

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you have to pop a ball joint to replace CV shaft. I don’t even pull the tire.
Started by supporting the vehicle on a stand under frame with the tire off the ground. Pull the center cap and remove the axle nut (36mm).

Removed the sway bar end link.

Loosened the 2 lower strut bolts and removed the rear bolt completely.

Removed the clip-on nut off the strut with bolt removed. Need that for just that extra clearance.

Pull the CV diff side mounting flange down and slide the shaft out of the hub bearing. Big end needs to come thru where the sway bar end link was located. And it’s out.

Prep the new shaft with some anti-seize on the splines and install in reverse order. Done!

Been slacking here lately. I’ve had a couple unforeseen events happen in my personal life that have really hit hard. A good friend of mine who has been battling depression and anxiety since we were kids in high school took his own life. I’ve come to terms with it but it’s really hit his family hard. The day before that happened, I can’t really go into detail because I’m not sure how to deal with it yet, a very close friend of mine and his wife who is close with my wife was shot in the chest when she answered her front door. We have an idea who it was but I’m just gonna leave it at that.

But I did manage to get some new shoes for the Caddy. I only replaced the front because the rear were new when I got the vehicle.

I’ve been dealing with a slow leak on the right rear. I soaked the tire, the bead and the valve stem multiple times but could never find the source. So I told the shop to find the leak for me and fix it. They called back and said they couldn’t find the leak until they put the entire rim and tire into a dunk tank. The rim is cracked. So I had to get another rim.

It’s a GM replica but at least I’m done putting 6lbs in this thing every 5 days.

I’ll get more active here when all this dust finally settles.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I've been through that, too. It's not easy to understand what happens to someone's heart and mind who's in that place.

I saw about the shooting. Sounds like they have a bead on it. Go get em, boys!

Damn. Sorry to hear about these troubling events. It’s impossible to understand why people do this. I’m familiar. Keep on keeping on brother.

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend Jim. A very tough situation--on all sides--for everyone. I hope he's at peace. He's in God's loving arms.
