I like the idea to change out my rear pillar vent cap. Can it be done on a 2005 Yukon XL?

I see a complete smooth surface (?), and also one with a thin slit up the forward side.

I don't know what type to get....
And..... what does the vent , vent?? I assume you should not seal it?

( I just bought the 2005 a couple months ago... I love it )
Yes you can change them to any style you like for 00-06 models. Behind them are rubber flappers on a plastic plate that basically lets pressure inside cabin out..you know how if you close doors with window open they close easily but if windows are up there is more back pressure, so to speak, if those vents were not there it would be a lot harder to close doors.... basically they reduce cabin pressure in all situations....driving, opening windows, closing doors, etc

I had no problem taking the apps off it was putting the esky ones on that gave me trouble. Its almost as is its not clipped in fully but it sticks out a little on my truck and the stock ones sat flush.Ill try to snap a pick but ive pulled them off and pit them on so many times to try and ffix that im afraid if I keep messing with it im gonna start breaking clips.

I actually broke my old original ones clean off they were awfully brittle ! Must’ve been all that wear and tear from the hot Ca sun !

What wheel and tire setup is that? Looks good.
Thank you bro these are a set of KX 20X10 off-road wheels in machine face black /tint with an offset of -18 have them tightly wrapped in some BF Goodrich 275-60-20 but will eventually throw on a bigger tire .

And yes i had the exact same problem with them sticking a little more than i would like them to. Especially on the top corners where the liftgate glass meets the applique
