Go G4 to match your rounded appliqués IMO. G5s have a crease to match the Esky appliqués unless that difference won't bother you.

Here's mine wth G4s and full Esky LED mod.

Yea that's exactly what I'm looking for, unless I can find a set of black g5 appliques cheap... Is your 3rd brake light smoked or red? I noticed the LED go all the way across... aftermarket or custom?

3rd brake is all red.
OEM Esky.

Fully modded by Vegas Chris. He has done other TYF members as well. Cost is $200 plus shipping is your cost to Las Vegas.

I did a full write up in the last few pages of my build thread.

Pics tell the tale. Looks great. Should have been OEM all the way across, but alas now it is a unique mod for the TYF crowd. Love it though.

I still don't understand the reasoning as to why GM changed the esky third from all the way across leds on the nbs to only the center on the nnbs esky light. Kinda lame. Probably cost issues. Lol. I do love that my nbs esky third goes all the way across and that it didn't require a custom mod.

I thoughts te whole back glass had to be swapped on the nbs to do a caddy light
The glass has to be swapped if you want to the screw holes to match up to make it mount up correctly. I know a couple guys here just did double sided tape or adhesive to attach the esky third to their tahoe or yukon glad so as to not have to swap hatches. It's much clean if you swap hatches in my opinion.

Didn't see a write-up on this so figured I would contribute something to this place. This is a VERY easy mod, takes literally 10 minutes if that.

With the help of Sumo, I was able to score an already painted black Escalade 3rd brake light from a 2008 Escalade, all complete, for $102.50.

Got it in the mail today and put it on immediately. Here's the how to:

This is what your stock 3rd brake light on the 07+ Tahoe, Suburban, Denali, and Yukon's would look like..

These are the tools you'll need: 10mm nut driver and a small star-bit. The two nuts and three bolts seen in this pic will be removed through this process and reinstalled with the new brake light.

Open up the glass and remove the two 10mm nuts from the hinges which attaches to the brake light housing (as seen in the pic). Also using the appropriate star-bit, remove the three bolts as pictured. They should all come out fairly easy, with very little resistance. You can also reach in and loosen the harness in the picture, but don't attempt to remove it just yet!

This is what it all looks like removed:

Now, open the liftgate up which will give you access to the wire harness. Remove the rubber grommet and pull a few inches of the wire out, it will come out freely without resistance. This will eventually expose the clip. Use a small screwdriver and pop the clip.

Now, close the lift gate gently, slowly lower the glass, and gently remove the old stock 3rd brake light.
Wallah!

Here is the old next to the new!

Now, do everything you just did in reverse! Here is the outcome!

Next up will be the Escalade tail light conversion. :Handshake:

THE YETI, what exactly did you end up getting to put the 08 full LED Brake light on your Tahoe. Im looking for this mod for my 07 Tahoe LTZ

I been looking for this mod for a minute. Is this off a 2008 escalade esv or another model. I have been on ebay and there are several but none look like the ones you guys have.
this is what you want, it's made by eagle eyes which is a good brand, the housing only comes in black so if you need a different color you would need to get it painted or find a stock housing, the lamp will switch over, the lamp lights all the way across, this is a good knock off product surprisingly.
