GM designed it so that at slow speed and rpm it makes the steering very light, and then at speed it tightens back up..when the sensor go's bad it wears spots in it where it cant determine the speed thus loosening the steering at speed...which is very dangerous. If your steering is doing that, replace it. Its a HUGE difference.

You could be right, I just know mine has something that makes the steering looser at low speeds and tighter at high speeds. I assumed thats what they have but you know what assuming does lol

That's supposed to be a symptom of an erratic steering sensor / EVO system.

You can reach under the dash for a wire harness connected near the bottom of the column and disconnect it and see if the jerk goes away. The steering controller should stay in EZ mode when disconnected.

No problems with that since Ive owned my hoe. when I got it the steering was all jacked up did ball joints and arms. My steering is still a little lose and I have a power steering leak but it drives perfectly straight.

hmmm, i wonder if i should get mine checked then.
at the same time, my steering feels just like my dad's 96 S-10 Blazer did back in 2005, both in the city and highway, so i'm guessing there's nothing wrong with mine either.
