i do a fair bit of towing usually cars and such. so 5-8k which puts me in the middle to high end of the 1500 tow range ( for the trucks i own) little things like that wdh makes a very big difference. and even though i probably don't NEED to run them on my 2500 out of good habit i continue to , and i can feel the difference in the truck when i do/dont. it isnt as noticeable on the heavier truck but it does make a difference.

airbags are nice, but they are an aid, not a fix for proper loading and towing gear.

Nope.

Can't offer any more solutions until we know more about your truck.
It's a 2015 Yukon XL slt without the factory tow package as already stated. There's only 1 engine/trans option and without the tow package there's only 1 rear end so I'm not sure what additional information you are needing here...

I do understand that the weight on the trailer was more forward than desired. The question I'm asking is about air bags and if they will help reduce squat, not if my trailer was set up properly. I did not have a choice on where to put the tractor as there was a 4' brush hog behind it which was already hanging 6" off the back of the trailer, the tractor could not be moved further back due to this. Lets just pretend I had my boat behind me which when loaded properly has about the same tongue weight as this set up had. Here's a picture of the same setup behind my previous Titan XD for reference. 153079929_859638517936809_8051977226420029208_n.jpg

You may need to get a coupler that drops the trailer tongue a bit more so once you get bags or a WDH you can keep that trailer tongue level or slightly down.

Here's the factory spec sheet on it. Not sure how to tell what suspension, it's not air I know that much. Truck has 54k miles on it.

Yes, I was surprised at how high the hitch is on this and did not bring my 6" drop bar with me. This was a 4" drop. I'll be using my 6" from now on with this Yukon.

My eyes won't let me see anything on that page and it doesn't get bigger. Anyhow, you said there's no air suspension so that's enough, it's the plain jane ZW7. Mileage is low. I still don't think she should have squatted as low. Regardless, you can put in some AirLift Springs, 60769, and call it a day. Remember, anything behind the rear axle, in the truck, is considered tongue or hitch weight too.

Air bags or not correct tongue weight is important so you don't tear up your rear axle bearings and it handle's well.
