This should apply to all GM 1/2 ton trucks and Suvs (Cant verify 3/4 ton and larger). So the wife decided to lock her keys in the 03 Tahoe today. Her spare was in her purse. (we had that talk, yes) So I tried a brass rifle cleaning rod and wedged the door frame out and pushed down on the door unlock side of the button and neither door would unlock. (Security feature?)
Then I remembered these vehicles go zippity doo dah with ground problems. So I disconnected the negative and bumped it 5 times to the battery negative and then reattached. About 5 seconds later the door locks all unlocked just like someone was inside the vehicle pressing on the button for me. Tada.
*NOTE* I had the hood open already so you will have to get under and unlatch the hood to use this trick.
