I have removed the rear controls on my console before to change the rear 12V outlet retainer/cover with a new.
I removed the two screws near the rear of the console lid, and then pulled gently up on the tabs (on the top, right under the console cover) that hold that piece on while pushing rearward. The control plate popped right off after that.

Felix, how did you swap the center console lid?

I see four screws and a retaining spring ... is it as simple as unscrewing them and it pops off?

Yea like Nathan said its only a few screws. I had to call him more then once to get it but its finally in there!!

I am not but I assume it does. What is different about the esky console?

The whole center console is a completely different design from the Tahoe/Yukon ones.

Plus the Escalade one is basically two lids in one. The bottom lid opens up to the big bottom space (giggity), and the top lid opens up to a smaller storage space. Unlike the Tahoe/Yukon there's no tray accessory because that designed into the lid.

I just can't imagine it being interchangeable ... but someone needs to confirm/deny this.
