I didn't think it was going to happen, but I got my Tahoe back today. On the way to pick it up the power steering pulley on my wife's 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee came off. I had my wife and 7 month old son with me. Luckily, we literally broke down in front of a repair shop... after pushing it into the shop, an hour and a half later, and a ride from a great friend we finally made it. I know I was a little freaked out if she was going to look stupid with the 6" lift, but I think the pictures speak for themselves. Here she is...

I am going to try and get some better pics tomorrow... she needs cleaned up. 3 miles of dirt roads and the wheels get a little dusty. It's amazing how a 6" lift plus the right wheel/tire combination can change the entire look of a truck.

Wow, that looks great. Those wheels/tires really set it off at that height.
Great job.

Looks good but rims too big imo lifted trucks can rock 18s til about 38s then like 16s on 44s and then 20s on the 54s

Looks good Turk,

I thought the 305's with a 6" lift would look too small but I was wrong. I still prefer a taller tire but thats just my personal preference. The only thing that matters on your truck is what you like.

Several years back our road was white shell. The shell makes it's own brand of off-white dust. Made me feel like it was useless to wash me truck then. At least with your dirt road it looks like you've been off-roading.

Couldn't help but notice the background of all your pictures, what all do ya'll farm? My family farmed rice & soybean and still run cattle on the property but the farming operation is shutdown now.

Thanks for all the compliments and advice guys. I know this truck isn't for everyone, but it's everything I wanted it to be. The 6" lift was perfect and I personally love the look of the wheels and tires. I'm attaching a couple of pictures since I cleaned it up a little.

Thanks for the compliments!... and I do agree that tall tires look great on a Tahoe. In my opinion, you have to work pretty hard to screw up the looks of a Tahoe. I think they are one of the best looking vehicles (OBS) on the road. I agree with the dirt road comment... it sucks when it comes to keeping your vehicles clean, BUT I would never give up my solitude.

My dad and I farm about 3,500 acres of corn, wheat, and soybeans. My dad runs a few cattle, but I got out of that several years ago. This year looks like it's going to be another bust... it's DRY and VERY HOT.

I forgot to ask eariler, hows your power level with the larger tires compared to before? I'm assuming you haven't regeared yet, if not what's your stock gears 3.42 or 3.73?

Oh, so big gay mud trucks that serve literally no purpose? Other than to drive around in a circle at a mudfest?:supergay:

20's on lifted trucks is ***'s. My buddy's at work have 20's on their trucks. One's got a leveled NBS Tundra and another has a lifted Cummins. Yeah, 20's are sexy on lifted trucks.

Trail trucks/crawlers should have 17's and 38-42 inch tires. "Mud Trucks" should be burned to the ground.

Right now I am running stock. To tell you the truth, I am not completely disappointed. I think I can live with it for a while, but I can tell that I will definitely need to regear at some point. I am going to check my fuel mileage and try and make a decision from there.

I haven't tried to pass anyone yet, so that may change my mind quickly!
