look up under the dash where the mechanism is, there is a little copper color metal tab contact switch, I can't recall if it contacts...

Have you checked the fluid level? Did it release fully?

Pull the release and use your toe to pull up on the pedal and see if the light goes out. Last one I did the front parking brake cable...

Parking brake light stays on after releasing the parking brake. Any ideas?

If you look at Rock Auto and click on the Delphi pump info I believe it gives all of the GM part #'s.
