Hello, I can not drive due to a disability but am intrested in trucks in general. I also love dogs. :) anyway for those that have 6 seats in their truck I am curious if the front center seat is co considered a seat to most or if its never sat in and stuff. -This sounds dumb inknow but im 22 with adhd and atusim so please try not to be rude.

if there is no center console in the front then it is typically bucket seats with a center "jump seat" that folds up/down and doubles as a arm rest with a thin storage compartment on most modern ones. older ones may have a full bench seat
it has it's own seat belt, so yes it would be a "seat" and is counted as such for how many people it can carry. i.e. seat's 9 or in the case of my silverado seats 6

You ever let anyone sit there?

sure, yes it can however make you feel cramped in depending on the size of said person/people, generally you get less elbow room.
if you have 3 big guys in the front seat, your going to be good friends lol
I like sitting there but due to my size people dont let me hardly ever and I end up getting afraid to ask. sorry if that seems weird

I just dont know if anyone other then the few people I know will let me sit there lol
well if it's a stranger it might be uncomfortable for them, I guess it depends on the person
think of it like some one standing a little too close in line at the store.... it might be the same feeling for a stranger.

Understandable. I just wish I had more people to talk to about it and stuff. Sometimes I get anxiety about the dumbest things and talking helps.

I like my buckets and at 6'4" tall and 280 pounds, I need all the room I can get. Even my 5'5" tall and 124 pounds best girl, likes her buckets and would not want to sit right next to me. To each their own of course.
I get that. You ever have a truck with a 3rd seat up front in the past?

In the past? Yes my dad's 1970 Chevy pickup had a bench seat (regular cab, two doors). That is, a real bench seat. Hell, we could squeeze in four people if we were all friendly. Three people no problem except for the center drive tunnel. I have always wondered why the industry went to mostly just bucket seats. I guess there is just more demand for the buckets.

One thing that might make drivers resistant to letting you sit there is that having your body there might block the view using the rearview mirror. Unless that person was fairly short I'd want him/her sitting elsewhere, unless there weren't any other options (full car).
I understand that. :/ most people ive known dont use empty other then backing up and stuff.

Well, I use mine all the time, and even resist having someone sit in the middle of the 2nd row. Not a problem for my SUV since it has only bucket seats in the first two rows, and I don't keep the 3rd row seats in it.
