Got my rims back from powder-coater!!

Got a set of Falkens that I'm about to go wrap around them!! I'm keeping the center caps, lugs, and rivets chrome. Blacking out the other chrome on my truck except the bumpers and bottom tone for now. Also have a couple of ideas about the badges until I get nekkid....

Man that looks great! How much did it cost to have that done?

My dude charged me 40 bux a rim. Job is good, not great tho. There's 1 small drip on the lip and 2 small runs. He suggested a clear coat but I didn't take his advice, should have. And I gotta replace my rivets. A couple started melting becuase he, nor I for that matter, didn't realize they were plastic. Otherwise I am looking forward to putting them on SOON! LOL

This is them witht he tires on. It's gonna be a while before I put them on because I'm going to clean and rustoleum in the wheels wells and whatnot. Also, getting the rear fender trim off is a beyotch, got about 5 more stuck screws I'm trying not to cut or strip.

Looks nice, I am not a fan of chrome

I can live with it, in moderation, or with out it. I may go chromeless if I get the trim right.

I have $2,500 Foose's and bet your ass the rivets were cheap plastic chrome. To replace them was $340. Heck the Plastic Center Caps were $200.

Get rid of rivets!

Wow that's pretty cheap ... did he sandblast them first for that price?
Cause my understanding is that powder-coating won't 'take' on chrome for any length of time.

They'll look great on your ride.
