Got me some 20" rimz........

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new here, but just wanted to see what would work. I have a 2004 Takoe Z71 (completely stock). A buddy of mine just sold me a set of 03-07 SS Silverado (alloy, not polished) 20" rims for $200 for the set. I'm wondering what size tire will fit under the the hoe and not rub anywhere. I'm looking to get a set of AT tires if possible.

The rims are 20" x 8.5"

that's what I'm running, 285/50...some guys have 305/50 and don't think they've had any complaints....and maybe you could even go 275/55 or 285/55, if u want it a little beefier, but don't know about rubbing on that, just know that mine is good....

yeah i know im already in the works for spindles and 5 in the back... the springs settled but not much

im not sure 305's will be good on those SS rims because i dont think they have a very deep offset. you might run into some serious rubbing issues with 305's

285/50 or 285/55 might look nice... you might even go with a 295/50 but again, you might run into trouble with the rubbing.

I have 275/55's on my 20's and they rub when I cut it deep but it hasn't really posed to be a problem.

My friend that sold me the rims said they had 275/55/r20s on them (he kept them for his new rims) and his is already 2/3 dropped and he said he didn't have any rubbing issues. I think I've found the tire I want..........BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A Tour. They don't look too bad and the price is good ($160/tire). We don't take it off-road so it wouldn't be a huge deal, just the family ride.

I'd recommend some pro comp all terrain 275/55/20s. They're on sale right now and were some of the best tires I've owned. No rubbing until I did my spindles and it wasn't that bad. Winter traction was amazing, I'm from minneapolis so I know what the steez is regarding snow tires.

$800 shipped is pretty good Don't get the bfgs they're crap compared to a dozen other tires in the same price range.
