So I have a 2004 4x4 2500 Suburban with an 8.1L 4l85e and 3:73. I also have a now dead 99 C3500 that has 4:10's in it. Would it be possible to use the 4:10's out of the '99 in my '04 Suburban? Attached is a picture of the RPO codes from the potential donor truck and its VIN is1GCGC33R9XF098096.

id think the 2500 is a 14 bolt rear, and the other one is a 10 bolt. so a gear swap its self likely wont work. the axle swap would leave you with 8 lug wheels on the 14 bolt axle too.

Here is a picture of the potential donor. Its 14 bolt too. The suburban has 10.5 rings, does anyone know how to determine what the 99 donor truck has?

Is there a 6 bolt flange behind the pinion flange on either rear ends?

From what I’m reading the 10.5 has a 6bolt flange behind the pinion and the 11.5 does not.
