Front differential

My '99 Yukon has a failing front differential, can I disable it and just go 2wd?

That's a tough question, front driveshaft and T/C will leak out. Actuator assy, same issue, axle shafts maybe. How do you plan to "disable" it? Better to fix it, but I know that costs a lot of money and time.

Don't think so on those older ones, the nut on the end of the spline keeps the hub together. If you knew exactly was wrong you could fix just that part and soldier on.
