I'm confused by the new offerings. The new 2021 Yukon has fog lights, as expected on this type of vehicle. However, I don't see fog lights on the 2021 Tahoe at any trim level or package. Seems strange to me. Especially since the front end is very similar to the Silverado, which has 2 rows of lights and fog lights. Does anyone have insight into this?

No fogs on my high country and no internal empty switch. I am hoping to find something aftermarket in the coming months as it seems like a big miss.

strange that the highest offered model at 80k does not have fog lights. However, the z71 does have a completely different front end.

That being said, I am the 21 Tahoe/Suburban Owners Manual and fog lights are no place to be find and not in the index. Looking online at z71 picture and I do not see what GM refers to as the task lighting button that you would see on a Silverado.

This space in the picture looks like the same place that the Silverado has them.

I looked at a 2021 Tahoe base LT tonight and the LED headlights were bright — almost as good as my Volvo. Unlike my 08 Suburban where fog lamps helped (my 19 Suburban does not have them), I am not sure that fog lamps are necessary like they would be on the legacy generations.

I wonder if we could replace our Light switch to have the Task light button like on the Silverado/Sierra and then hard wire some fog lights somewhere?

Check out this kit....seems so easy and looks like with have the same area but a bit smaller on the front of the Tahoe.

There are what looks like 2 knock out panels on the front lower face. On the 20 pick up it looks the same. There are tow hooks and fog lights. So your idea may hold water

I may try and get up under there tomorrow. The whole front end has a large plastic panel under the bumper. It will need removed to have any idea what can be done. View attachment 256135

Might be able to cut in some small round/ square led fog or something like this

Keep us posted on what you find under there. I know in 2016 when we bought our sons Chevy Cruze the model change had just came out but fog lights were not an option yet. We were able to add a dealer installed GM kit about 8 months later that came with a pair of fog lights and a new headlight switch with built in fog lamp control. It was just under $300 for the kit and install. I am hoping something for the 2021 Tahoe is available soon. This was a huge miss on GM .

I have yet to dig into the that panel. Maybe one of the guys who is looking at front bumper removal for the Illuminated emblem can tell us what is down there. Also, was thinking that those air holes on the right and left wheel well are where the fogs are on the Yukon and escalade.....that piece appears to be trim. Just need a bracket and some small lights and we can do what the F-150 raptor guys have been doing for fogs.

What should have gone in those blank spaces. Tow hooks? Are there holes in the frame for hooks?
Are the spaces easily knocked out?

I found these pic off eBay, where someone was sell the entire front end.
From looking at the pics, it looks like it can be popped out..there appears to be 4 tabs.

Wish GM at least offered fogs as an option. Maybe it’s something they’ll offer it later and can be retrofitted on the 2021’s
