As I never use my fog lights, I disconnected the bulbs a while ago and tapped into their wiring for my front light bar. I use the preexisting fog light toggle button to turn the light bar on and off. Plain and simple. Now, having a desire to want to add existing lights on the front to alert other drivers of what I'm doing, I thought about swapping out the unused fog light bulbs for some amber ones and tapping them into my turn signals. In my mind, this would give another warning for vehicles ahead of me of my intent.
Has anyone done this before? How did it turn out? Has anyone done anything different to add front lighting?
Thanks in advance.

I have not heard of the mod that you are contemplating. IMO, if oncoming drivers cannot see your existing directional lights in their current location, I don't think that additional directional lights that far down on the front bumper will make much of an improvement.

In your opinion, where would be a good place to put additional directional lights?

Are you planning on getting a different housing design for the bulbs, because I know of no bulb that fits the fog light housing, that is amber.

What’s wrong with the stock directional lights? They work and meet DOT requirements.

IMO if I saw a truck flashing fog lights for a directional it would be irritating and somewhat confusing. If I was a cop I may even pull you over for it….
Looks like some electrical issue lol.
