OK my factory amp is toast. Quick question? What is the difference between a 996661 amp and a 991234 factory bose amp?

Could only find the 99661's in the junk yard this morning.

Yes that is exactly it. I had to run a new wire from under the dash, did not wanna cut the factory radio harness to make the R.A.P. work, as there was not a provision for it on the
Metra AX-GMLAN29-SWC GM Data Interface with SWC harness. Please see attached photos.

So I went to the junk yard and found a 1234 amp, out of a 2011 Suburban, and still no luck. So now what? I am completely stumped. The lil black box that came with the

Metra harness (please see photo) does not light up, at all, like it should.

Anyone have the factory wiring diagram so I can match up that way?

the bose amp is digital, it requires a digital signal which is why you have to use the metra adapter, the metra converts the signal from the aftermarket head unit to a digital signal that the bose amp recognizes. If the metra adapter isn't lighting up then it probably isn't working. no amount of wiring it any other way will make the amp come on.

I would say call metra and they can help you troubleshoot and verify if there adapter is working or not.
