I'm kinda thinking of deleting as well. I can tune the purge solenoid out, but where should I disconnect the hoses and let it vent?

I'm a little confused on what the delete actually entails. Mine is an 08 yukon 6.2L.

No reason to vent it as there is already a vent solenoid on the tank. You could just cap it off under the hood where you disconnect it from the purge solenoid.

Gotcha thanks for the info.

That makes sense.

So incap off the port on the intake, but what about the purge valve?

If the purge valve is sealing properly then it is it's own "cap", assuming you tune it to never open. Or you could remove it and cap the hose, or go all the way back to the tank and cap it there. So many options.... lol

Copy that makes sense.

So the logic on the evap system will still open the vent even if the purge is told not too? I could see if that's tunable.

That seems like the best setup.

I'm not certain that you can turn the purge valve off in the tune, perse.

You can, however, tell the ECU to ignore all codes associated with the purge valve and not illuminate the MIL light and then just unplug the purge solenoid.

I do see a temp enable setting for purge.. BUT only for closed loop..
Likely the ECM will open purge at startup for emissions/gas cap test, etc..
