i can get an lq9 complete turnkey motor with harness and ecu and 4l80 for 3400. i dont know what else i will need but not much i think.

I had my 350 blow up on me so i went ahead and got a 383 stroker Everything is changeable so i went with that. plus i got a nice warranty to.

well then for that price i would do it.. you will need to modify your transmission cross member.. the trans mounts for the 80 is about 3" diffrent from the 60...

2nd are you 2wd.. or 4wd.. if 4 then you will need a diffrent input shaft for your transfer case.. the 60 tcase is a narrow 27 spline and the 80 is a fatter 32 spline..

you will have to over haul the tcase and install this shaft..

^^ above link also shows about modification for the trans mount..

make sure you get the trans ecm and the main ecu.. and you should be good to rock n roll.. you may have issues with the older gauges talking to the computer but if you splice the 2 harnesses be good... i will make a call to a buddy to night and get you an anwesr

welp i just picked up a 07 6.0 ** lq9 with a 4l80e harness and ecu for 2k. guess its time to start my build

Ok just found out the 4l80e was out of a 4x2 how hard is it to go to 4x4

Hard ... at the least you gotta swap the tail shaft and output housing ... basically rebuild the whole thing. Might be easier to sell the 2wd trans and get yourself a 4wd ...
