Given the age of the vehicle, might be time to replace the heater hosed and the plastic "T" fittings at the firewall assuming your have rear a rear heater core. The plastic gets brittle over time and will let go typically without warning. Just recently replaced all of mine, the one near the AC compressor had a very slow drip that seems to have caused the AC clutch bearing to start to tweet like a bird! Not looking forward to replacing that.

Beware, the Dorman replacement T's and quick fittings are sized a bit incorrectly. I had to open up the inside of the quick connection with the finger releases on my truck to slide over the aluminum stub pipes, what a PITA!

Sometimes the internal water pump seal or shaft gets a small flaw in one small area, when it's warm it seals but when you shut it off if those flaws line up then it starts leaking when it cools; a new water pump & coolant will take care of the issue

I would but new water pump mounting bolts at that mileage, they probably won't snap coming out but it turns a quick little repair into a real pain if one snaps on the install of the new pump, good luck!

So when I first got my tahoe the person I got it from said it needed a engine. So they parked it and I bought it for a 1000.00 bucks. No joke. Drove it home and that weekend seen the coolant running down the bottom of the passenger head and it was coming from the water pump to block gasket. Fixed that and drove it til I put this motor in.
