Folks,
If I hook up the auto start/stop bypass switch currently on the market that connects to the hood-open switch of the vehicle, and drive with the auto start/stop switch disabled, can the dealer's tech determine that I have previously had this bypass switch installed, voiding my warranty? I would have removed the switch, which is a simple plug-in under the hood, before taking the vehicle in for service. I assume that while a BlackBear or similar tune may be recorded in various ways that allows the GM Scanner to pick up on its use, that this bypass switch would not, since it does not alter the OBDII programming. Any knowledge is welcome.
