Easiest way to add delay relay for headlights??

Ill be installing my hids soon. I have the lows and fogs with the fogs coming on with low beams. I want to still use the auto headlight function I just want the 5s delay. So what's the easiest way? I'm guessing it would be to wire it between the oem plug and the ballasts?
