Just the ones mentioned in this thread, but at one time there was a list of Dealers.

Just the Dealers talked about in this thread. I’ve been on here a long time and at one time we had a list but I have no idea where it might be now. I have used James Black Cadillac the last couple of times that I purchased a warranty.

When you call James Black, who do you ask the receptionist to connect you to, extended warranty department?

I stand corrected on my previous statement as I was recently informed that yes the mileage can be extended past 100k miles on a GMPP Platinum coverage as long as it’s before the 12 month 12k miles of ownership has occurred. This was told to me by Knapp Automotive’s rep mentioned in the earlier posts.
I called Knapp and was told different about 2 weeks ago.

Also the website says your incorrect right at the top banner!

You can buy the warranty as long as your factory bumper to bumper is still active. The 12k mileage you are saying is if you buy the warranty after 12k miles there will be some kind of extra charge. I asked him point blank if my car was 2.5 years old and I had 11k miles I could buy the warranty without the extra charge? He said YES.

I am waiting until I have about 11k miles and then buying; this is because there will be no extra charge and the mileage and time start from date purchased. So if I got a 100k miles warranty it’s really when the truck has 111k on it.

If you didn’t care about the extra surcharge you could wait until you have 35k miles and buy the 100k warranty. You’d be covered to 135k.

Knapp was honesty with me and said the sweet spot is to wait like I’m doing and buy right before 12k.

My contract pushes the mileage coverage to 110660 miles on the GMPP 96/100,000 plan that I signed just purchased from Todd Sutherland earlier this month. I usually wait just before the factory bumper to bumper expires but I did things a little different this time around and we keep our vehicles a good long time usually so this is good insurance.
