'22 YUKON SLT LIFTER & CAM FAILED 5.3L

Apparently this is common and a known issue due to the AFM/DFM system. Does anyone know what recourse I have with GMC? Are there any lawsuits? My warranty was 100k miles....at 111k miles my #6 cylinder lifter failed and it appears that the cam shaft is also damaged. Took it to dealer several times while under warranty with complaint of fuel smelling the cabin, knocking noise and other issues. All documented. They advised that it was likely my K&N cabin air filter. They did zero repair and I paid the diagnostic fee each time. Repair will be $10k...I can put a new reman engine in for $17k with a warranty. I'd prefer to get GM or the dealership to foot the bill, swap the vehicle or assist in some way if possible. Anyone have experience with this or recommendations?

I am sorry you're dealing with this. I had the lifters fail on my 21 Sierra with the 5.3-liter engine at a whopping 1,700 miles, so mine was still under warranty. This is a well-known issue with engines containing DFM. I would not stop at the dealership level. If it's documented before the warranty was up, it sounds like they were trying to kick the can down the road until you were out of warranty.

Agreed with the above. Time to get the GM Regional Representative involved, as that is probably the only way that you will get something out of GM.
