Does Knapp Extended warranty negotiate pricing at all?

Going to get an extended warranty through Knapp. Please give me insight if you’ve had any issues with them. Also, I know extended warranty costs can be negotiated down at time of purchase, but has anyone successfully negotiated an extended warranty through Knapp?

I got an additional $200 off extended warranty on 2024 Yukon Denali for 84 most and 84,000 mi.

Bumping an old thread as I just received the following quote for an extended warranty for my 2025 Denali ultimate diesel.

The interesting thing is they are saying I can buy it later and the mileage will be ADDED ON to what I already have vs replace (limit at mileage on warranty). Anyone think this is inaccurate?

You want to try to buy before one year of ownership or 12,000 miles. I'm waiting for 11 months as it helps extend the warranty a little longer... That's the lowest possible price you can pay.. You also want to go for a 100 dollar deductible. Everybody can afford a hundred bucks, and it takes a little bit off the top of the overall price. Hope to keep my 25 for a while...

Don’t over buy the warranty, you either have a good truck or you don’t, and statistically.. you will flip out at 4/50… and never remember to try and get the prorate refund. Benefit if the contract on GM is it gives you ten days rental car, but I can’t figure out if it’s per incident or per contract.

I keep my trucks for 8 years / 120k miles and have always bought these. They pay for themselves around year 5-6.

No one has really been able to give me more than 100k mileage though which is why I waited. Didn’t have this issue with my old expedition, got 8/120 easily.

I’ve yet to see GM go beyond 100k mile coverage for its factory backed warranty unless it’s for an issue related to a known issue or recall.

I received an extended warranty coverage on my Camaro ZL1’s supercharger/engine due to a defect in the superchargers shaft assembly as they were changing out the affected superchargers plus an additional warranty on top of that. This particular issue also affected the Cadillac CTS-V at the time.

I’ll be shopping for an extended warranty for our HC soon since it’s almost been a year from the date of purchase.

I stand corrected on my previous statement as I was recently informed that yes the mileage can be extended past 100k miles on a GMPP Platinum coverage as long as it’s before the 12 month 12k miles of ownership has occurred. This was told to me by Knapp Automotive’s rep mentioned in the earlier posts.

Yes that is how I understand it. They quoted me and told me to come back any time for revised quotes.

I'm not totally up to date on this but I think there is a GMPP for new vehicles in the first year, and there is a GMEPP for new purchasers of used late model machines?

None of the local dealers would sell me a GMPP. I used Knapp. Local dealers must accept GMPP in the event of a covered claim.

I don't know that I have seen an actual list. I and others have used Black Cadillac though.
