I believe he quoted 306K, still a lot of miles but around 192,000 miles.

Yep rodents eat the heck out of wires. In my buddy's Tahoe up in idaho a rat got into his Tahoe, no rat damage but his Jack Russel Terrier went after the rat and ate a lot of his wire harness trying to get at the rat, he does not turn wrenches, so it was about $3500 at the Dealer in wire repairs. And that was 20 years ago. I was told the environmentally friendly wire coatings are edible to rats and mice.

When you park, keep the hood open. Helps keep rats away...they like the dark places. I keep mine open and have had no damage since. You can poison the rats and get some rat traps...using the rifle, you will possible shoot a hole thru something expensive....ha

I heard the geniuses use an environmentally friendly component made with...peanut oil.

Okay so it's actually soy but that was funnier.

Squirrel got to a coworker's jeep...he trapped and ate it.

Okay so he hasn't been able to trap it. He just sprays the engine bay with peppermint oil twice a week. But that was funnier.

Insurance fixed his jeep. No, that's actually true!

I use to have mice build nests at the top of my rear deck lid, so I now keep rat poison always available in my truck's garage. It is open and available to all rodents in there, but it is covered by an overturned plastic milk crate (has natural holes that the rodents can squeeze through) with a cinder block on top, so that my dogs don't have access to it. I have not had any rodent issues since then.

Wow, 306, bravo! I suspect you have a both a fuel pump and wiring issue. One bad wire can wreak absolute havoc on these trucks...
Start with what swath said, kill the rodent, repair, preferably replace, harness, and then see if the problem goes away. If not, see what codes are left and think about the pump.

At the same time 306K is a good run. If you haven't done any major work, there could be other time bombs just waiting for you to fix this problem...

Don't neglect killing the rodent.
Could I verify psi at the rail to determine fuel pump? It runs just sounds like a v6 or vsick!!!

Might find someone with a scanner that can show all the sensor data live, might help find what circuit/sensor has a problem as well as showing fuel pressure.
Did you say you had a fuel leak? Clear codes and recheck?

Yeah that's the quick and easy way, at the Schrader valve on the rail.
FYI you do need an actual fuel pressure gauge. If you've never done it there are good YT videos.

A low value doesn't necessarily mean a bad pump.
