Changed BCM

Hello,

I have a 2008 Yukon Denali. I have headlights, but can’t change to brights. No driver window controls. Break lights are stuck on even if unplugged from the break switch. With that I thought it was the BCM and replaced it. BCM came in and swapped out. Issue was not resolved. Has any one dealt with this issue before.

BCMs have to be programmed to your truck, was that done?

Got the the BCM from Highway 71 Auto Parts. I sent them everything to program it. I am going to say it is programmed because the Yukon fired up with one attempt.

if it's not the bcm then I would be looking hard at the fuse box, pull it off and look for corrosion underneath

Under the hood or the dash? All fuses have been pulled and checked and they are good.

main fuse box under hood, it has handles to pull it off, disconnect battery ground FIRST before you do anything to it.

You really to get a bi-directional scan tool on this like the Tech-2. On the other hand, @George Owens has a truck that has been behaving similarly and the issue seemed to be the junction box under the dash that the BCM snaps into.

Checked for corrosion and did not find any. it’s about to make its way to our local mobile diagnostic. Unfortunately this is our family vehicle that can hold us all and I need to get it up and running legally lol. Only been driving it to work with no turn signals.

could be a short in the light circuit and the window switch could be a separate issue
