I purchased a set of Airlift 60769 helper bags for the back of my tahoe that we just lowered 4". While under the truck yesterday I noticed that the bag was deformed a little, almost bulging around the coil. I'm concerned I might have put too much air in them the first time I filled them with air.

Can anyone that has more experience with helper bags than me advise if this is normal or not? If I need to snap a pic I can. Thanks!

These were the 60742 Airlift bags. Never bulged out, but never aired them up more than 5-10psi, towed or weighted the cargo area.

Just for comparison. Lowered 3/5-6, no spacer, 6" coils. Not sure if that helps at all.

Glad to help. Anything else let me know for pics, but based on your ride I think you have that already covered. :)

I appreciate that! My bags are holding air just fine, but definitely seem to bulge outside of the coil which concerns me. Don't want one to pop from rubbing on the coil during suspension travel. Guess I'll purchase the 60742's with my next paycheck. Always something :/ lol

60742s I just searched and found prices ranging from $85 - $100 (Amazon was high).

You will see it only shows Pathfinder for fitment, however this was suggested to me and ran without any issues.

It almost sounds like a defective bag unless you see it on both sides. Good call swapping to what you know works.

Right. I think the oem for our vehicles just might not work in lowered applications. I took a gamble and apparently it didn't pay off lol!
