im finaily tired of listing to jinglebells everytime i go over bumps, and with 165,000 and who knows if brakes were ever done- i orderd parts! Got some drilled and slotted rotors 07 fronts stock rears, they are supposed to match. ill probably use the pads they come with for now they supposedly some kind ''performance ceramic''. just have to get calipers and brakets now. will post pics when i do the job.

drilled and slotted. is that because drill holes are prone to craking? had the option of either or bolth, didnt even think of that.

Unless you're racing drilled rotors are perfectly fine. You're not putting the type of stress on them that is going to cause cracking. Slotted rotors may force you to replace the pads more often, but it's not a huge difference.

well these brakes are incredible! only done a short amount driving. deff the best bang for your buck, if your going to spend money on your brakes anyway might as well spend a little more for this stuff! I have never driven any aftermarket brake systems so i cant give a compairison, but considering what those systems go for( deff out of of reach for me! ) i dont think this can be beat.
my parts are:
07 loaded calipers(because you have to get the caliper braket also)
07 front rotors/ 03 rears(got mine off ebay and were the same thikness as stock
ceramic pads nothing special
Ive got about $500 into this doing it myself, THIS IS DIRECT BOLT ON! nothing special needed! only thing im not sure of is if it will clear the 16'' spare. go to my albums for some pics.

rears are stock 03's (calipers and rotors). Ive read that the 07 and up rears are actually smaller. Only the fronts are 07 and up.(rotors and calipers ) just make sure you get the caliper braket also. only way i could get them where i am was to buy a ''loaded caliper''

You can get the calipers without getting them loaded with pads but still come with bracket. The CARQUEST part numbers are, Left 18B-4919, Right 18B-4918, and 90% of stores keep them in stock and if not they are readly avalable.

alright so i used the onlune 40% off advanced auto coupon code and this is how it brakes down.. lol

brackets 2x 27.99 - $51.61
left and right caliper - 2x $93.99
pads Ceramic Brake Pads - 42.26

total - $281 shipped
plus a set of drilled rotors on ebay - 130

grand total $411 - (100 core when returned) = $311

Not a bad price in my opinion to upgrade full front brake system.. order is being placed. also a set of rear drilled rotors.. for $130 making the total 4 wheel upgrade $440. and if i find that the calipers come with the brackets can shave another 50 off..

Well My prices have dropped.. i can now get the NEW non re manned Calipers with bracket for $53 each plus a $50 core from Advanced AUTO... and order my rotors and pads.. so new grand total after return cores is going to be about 280-300 i didnt factor tax.. so we can round up to $300 for 13" brake upgrade in the front. add another $150 for the rear slotted and pads.. so i have $450 in a full upgrade.. parts are ordered on the next pay check.. adn ill have to find te time to install...

I am just waiting for my brakes to wear out so I can do the same swap. You will have to get a larger spare, the 16 will not clear the rotors. Too bad your no in So Cal, I would trade you a 17 spare, I have 2 left that I am trying to get rid of. Anyone else local doing this swap PM me.

Question....

Are the 2007 Tahoe / Yukon the same Calipers and rotors that the 2006 Suburban 2500 / Yukon XL 2500 use?

Thanks!
