So my ssv used to be border patrol and originally had a cut bumper just below the crash bar and still has the full skid plates installed. Well over time the current full bumper is flexing so much I’m getting some paint coming off in the corners by the grille. I purchased what I thought was the lower bumper bracket pieces but I feel like I’m still missing something. Anybody have a picture of behind their front bumper?

heres mine.

I have the same issue (no lower bumper support) just picked up a 2013 suburban 2500 that was ex border patrol. I work at a repair shop, the next Tahoe/burn that comes in I will try to see what all is missing on mine and report back if you still need the info

Nice!

I installed the corner support pieces but seems odd there’s nothing in the center area. My Yukon has a metal bumper so very different.

image.jpg Have one in the shop now. There is a piece that is welded to the crash bar that comes down and the plastic supports you installed attach to that.. looks like we will need to pull a crash bar from a scraped hoe/burb to get it back to factory

Probably why the covers all seem to crack then around the grille corners. I’ve seen a few used ones like that.

I’ve been thinking about going back to the BP look again and just cutting it.

I’ve been thinking about that too. The washer fluid tank hangs too low, so that would have to be reworked.
