Want to see what's the best tire size for some 20" ss rims I have them on a 04 tahoe with a 3/6 drop. I'm currently running on 275/55 tires want to go smaller but don't want to loose ride quality

I also have nitto 420s 285 50 20's and they ride great. I had 275 55 20's and they rubbed at full lock in reverse. The 285 do not rub.

Twanky's

I just replaced the 275/55's on my LTZ rims with the same size but switched from some bobo "sport truck" tires that were on them when I got them to the new Firestone LE2's. I had the LE1's on my old silverado and they were phenomenal tires so I have high hopes for the new improved design. So far they are every bit as good as the LE1's AND they are buy three get one free AND have a $70 mail in rebate on top of that. Ended up $1119 OTD w/ full road hazard, lifetime balance and lifetime alignment which I had a 15% off coupon for.

I am running Goodyear Eagle LS2 275/55/20 on nnbs. With 2/3 Pedders Kit I have a slight rub at full lock in reverse.

Same size, same wheel, same tire

Word of advice though, dont get nitto 420's if you want quite. They have Lots of road noise and can be annoying after a while.

I've heard-read that about the Nitto N420S tire, that they don't start out noisy, but get noisy after so many mles.

Yet, I sampled a test ride about 2 months back in a 2005 Yukon Denali, with 22" rims, and 305/40-22 Nitto 420S with about 12K on them, and they seemed very quiet and smooth to me. There was nothing to complain about in my book.

Reckon what one might call rough, another might say rides like a dream.

I'll probably be going Nitto myself soon, but I think I'll go with the 421Q.
Supposed to be their premier all season tire.

How many miles are on yours? I probably have around 10,000 and mine are still quiet.
