2013 20" Stock to a 2015-2020 22" Stock Tire/Rim Set-Up

Instead of a 285-45-22, we could run a 285-50-22, which, I think, would give us 1" back of the 2"s lost in sidewall by switching from 20's to 22's (I think)...Not sure if that would give us a better ride resulting from a switch to 22's...

Stock 20's only have 5.95" of sidewall. It's a better choice than the 45 series and it gives him the diameter increase he wants.

Glad you said it, don't want to be so blunt. I would go 275/60-20........

That's what I have for my summer wheels/tires. It's not bad, but the roads here are typically hammered $hīt, and I notice a huge difference when I throw on my 18" wheels/33" snow tires.... Much more comfy ride.

Ended up finding some Corporate Motors 17" steelies w/studded snow tires for the upcoming winter. I imagine they'll be nice riding too.

FYI, my Yukon came with 20" wheels and 33" tires on a factory suspension height that didn't rub. Is there a difference in the wheel well between Tahoes and Yukons?

I know, old post but luv it. Curious if those GM repos are 22x9? Any rubbing with those? The wheel I want to go with is 9.5, using 285/45/22.

I have the same tire size with 9.5 and no rubbing before or after adding a leveling kit.

Rant alert. Lately I have been considering getting a set of z71 18s. The 22s ride smooth in general but they don't like bumpy or dirt roads. I also bought the truck with the 22s, so I have nothing to compare them to. Would also be nice to have the Tahoe "blend in" a little more for a change, and have meaty tires fit for a truck.
