I'm using some spring retainers from a jeep when I do mine, definitely a good idea if you don't have the shock lengths perfect. My 10-450s should be installed tomorrow or monday :pepper:

I'll get the springs in next week and it will be another week to swap them for 9" springs if necessary. I want the rear fender on the tire, if the 10-450 does it or gets close I'll just run those and call it good, then I can forget the djm lca brackets and all the other crap. School is taking up some lootcakes right now so you'll just have to wait sucka.

I talked to summit, and they have 9-500 on the website, but I don't see the 8-500, and the guy I talked to said that he would have to check on it to make sure they can get it. If anyone has a link to the 8's, please post it.

If I put the 8's on it, is there shock changes that im going to have to make? Thanks!

Yes you will have to get shorter shocks, look at the beginning of this thread.

that i dont but if you jack up your truck and when tires come off the ground see if there is a little play in the springs. if it moves a little thats pretty much close to the ext. length prob another 1/2 inch longer than that meaurement

im going to pull the trailblazer spring and give it a shot. i just need to measure a trailblazer at the 4 inch drop over stock and see what is measures from top to bottom when installed. cause it will pretty much be the same on a tahoe maybe 1/2 to 3/4 lower due to weight.

I still haven't tried the qa1 but I'm calling belltech tomorrow for specs on their tb drop springs as I think they would ride better on these big trucks.

djm 4 inch rear drop spring for a trailblazer will lower the tahoe 6.5 inches in rear.

I will be having a djm rear spring here on thursday this week i can take full measurements on so at least at no load you can see how tall it would be.
