2ch. or 4 ch. amp

Hey ya'll Nfamous here again goin all out.... not really but i wanted to kno that since i have to upgrade my amp for my speakers what amp should i be running??? right now i have a 4channel 900watt amp and its barly keeping up so i have my heart set on a 1200 - 1400watt amp but can i use 2 channels or do i need 4 channel same as the one i got there now also the wattage that im looking at does that seem to much my guy at my audio shop told me to upgrade the amp and not buy stronger speakers. since i have 02, 200 watta 6.5"..

It kind of depends. How many speakers do you have, what are their wattage, not including subs. If you've got 4 200w speakers, then a 4 channel 800-900w amp is just fine. If the sound quality isn't there, then look at a better quality amp. Also make sure the amp ohm rating is matched to the speakers.
