2026 power step squeal

Has anyone experienced a loud squeal when their power steps drop or retract? Our ‘24 steps were slow but quiet. The ‘26 steps are much quicker but the driver side sounds horrible about every other drive.

My ‘24 sounded and felt very smooth. My ‘25 sounds and feels like I was just hit by another car.

The dealer replaced a driver side step motor, and claimed some of them come stripped, which makes them squeal.
