I wonder if they are going leave us 2025 owners out.My 2026 Yukon AT4 Ultimate has it.
Solved my own question so here’s an update:For those that have gotten this feature working in a tahoe
1) did you use USB A or USB C
2) which port did you use
3) can you go above 64gb or does it have to be 64gb exactly?
Thank you!
Just confirming you got it working in a 2025 model year Tahoe?Solved my own question so here’s an update:
- I used the USB A port in the front cubby space
- you need a minimum of 64gb with 32gm available. I decided to go with a 128gb
2026 Tahoe Z71Just confirming you got it working in a 2025 model year Tahoe?
Sigh…2026 Tahoe Z71
I have this feature working on my 2025 Tahoe HC. Dealership recently applied updates to the radio module and when I got the car back, feature was available and working. They also updated other modules and supposedly now capable of using the new key card feature as well although I have not tested that. As for the app, that is still not available for the remote viewing. Not sure if that will be added later on.I wonder if they are going leave us 2025 owners out.
You might be the only one with a 2025 model year Tahoe that has this then.....I check daily and no updates for my 25 Tahoe High CountryI have this feature working on my 2025 Tahoe HC. Well worth getting one in my opinion. I have the Mongoose plus and it was worth every penny. But in the meantime you can just tell the dealer you've had intermittent radio issues and they will update it to the latest version regardless as part of testing. You might be the only one with a 2025 model year Tahoe that has this then.....I check daily and no updates for my 25 Tahoe High Country
I might have to buy the GM Tech Tool and pay for a short term subscription.
Absolutely ....any chance your work order shows the updating the dealership tech did in the description?.....Something like "Updated head unit to version 3535371"Well worth getting one in my opinion. Latest software bulletin for Tahoes is 25-NA-371. Software version W53E-180.4.2-UQBM-286.4. That will include all previous updates ( 25-NA183, 085, 021, etc).Absolutely ....any chance your work order shows the updating the dealership tech did in the description?.....Something like "Updated head unit to version 3535371"
It does not. Will only show a red recording icon at the top and if you enter the app it will stop recording. None of the recordings are displayed with any information. Can anyone with this connected camera working in their vehicles say if the speed or any other information is captured on the recording or display while in use.
Thanks for the info because I was hoping for something similar to the PDR’s that comes in Corvettes. It does not. Will only show a red recording icon at the top and if you enter the app it will stop recording. None of the recordings are displayed with any information.
thanks for this, what kind of intermittent issue? I know my dealer, if they cant match it up directly to a TSB they wont do anything besides "document" it. All the dealers in my area seem to be terrible.Well worth getting one in my opinion. I have the Mongoose plus and it was worth every penny. I just simply stated the radio intermittently acts up and glitches, could they please update it. Screen goes blank, audio cuts out, etc. All the tsbs address intermittent radio issues, so it shouldn't be too difficultthanks for this, what kind of intermittent issue? GM isn't good with OTA updates. Mine hasn't gotten a single one since I bought it in August. Even with OTA updates, they always have bigger updates that can only be done with the tool and in combination with USB updates. I believe the feature update (recordings) came via the USB update so make sure to mention they do that as well. Either way, if they know what they're doing, it would be done since it's part of the updating process.Thank you for that info.
Today I spoke with my Dealership Service Tech he said my Tahoe needs that software update to get up to the version you have.
I'm a little confused by the fact that I was under the impression all the updates for our trucks are done OTA but apparently thats not true, some can only be done at the Dealer with a Tech2 tool.
The Tech said he didn't see anything specifically called out in the change logs that adds the Surround Vision Recorder but we shall see Friday when it goes in.
